The Agri Estate Concept 

An Agri Estate integrates aspects of agriculture with land development. 

 

 

It integrates food production as an integral element in the community, social network, and financial viability of the neighbourhood.

 

An Agri Estate  promotes and supports the following policies and principles in each mixed-use community:

  • Financing:  Incorporate established entities to finance both traditional infrastructure (streets, water, sewer) and environmentally friendly agricultural.

  • Agricultural Production:  No loss of agricultural value or revenue or production

  • Conserves and Promotes Natural Resources:  Appropriate and efficient use of natural resources to provide housing, recreation and fresh food through creative land planning and landscape architecture for the community.  This includes use of alternative energy sources as well as land and water.

  • Self Sufficiency:  Provide a commercially viable opportunity for self- sufficiency

 

This is the first Agri Estate development in die Northern Cape. An Agri Estate concept places the management of the estate directly under the inhabitants. The estate is then managed as private company in a “green” environment by utilising the grounds on and around the estate for agricultural purposes. The financial gains from this concept is then used to upkeep infrastructure and services – thereby minimizing your levy.  

This means your home becomes an asset and not a liability. Your home is also aesthetically situated in a rural envoronment – thus reaping all the benefits of such a liftestyle.

To reach this goal, 3400 Eureka Lemon trees have been planted. Adjacent to the estate are vineyards that will be incorperated to also reap the benefits when hervested.
